"Goodbye, The Weakest Link!", Or Lets Upgrade Together?!

It goes very often that the face of every company is in its best members. No arguments. It seems clear that there probably would be no BMW without Henry Ford, no Disneyland without Walt Disney and no up-to-nowadays Walt Disney Company without Michael Eisner, as well as no Mac (on which you probably work) without Steve Jobs or no Virgin Group without Richard Branson…

These people, like many others, made dreams come true and became the most important magicians and progress thrusters.

Many followers of them try to know more and more to guess a riddle of their success formula and succeed in business, in their turn. Either some of them do find this golden formula or it appears that they just grow till the highest levels of professionalism in their spheres forcing for years of hard work their own personal success formulae – it doesn’t matter.

What does is that we’ll try to sort out this matter from its back.

What we see is the best things. We never know the middle gray work within a certain company. And even if we do – I bet nobody knows the performers of this gray work within a company. But there is always some percentage of people who are not profitable. Yes, they work, yes, they always come to work in time and are never late. Yes, they sit there for 8 hours. But where are the results? Or where is the aspiration, the interest, the motivation in the personal development, or in the development of the company you are working at and for? At long last, this company is your future, regardless of the fact that either you are going to leave it for another one or aren’t. This company gives you, probably, the most valuable and the sole valuable thing which really can make benefit, if taken for a long term – experience. With the experience of working in the current company, you’ll do go to another one. And only your experience and effectiveness may serve as a justified reason for the employer, when he agrees to the overrated payment demands, according to which we always make our own price for our work.

These words were devoted to prospective progress thrusters, to people, who are really and seriously going to build their personality by themselves, to real self-made people.

However, there are quite simple and unbreakable rules in every company – despite the fact that we recognize and keep in mind their bright leaders, the actual progress of the company depends directly on the progress of its weakest link. So, if we accept that any company – or to say it exactly – every successful company is pushed forward by people. And the more these people work in team, the better the results are. For example, I can’t imagine the situation when one link on the team cannot work in more productive way, when the others can. So, it’s likely to have foil on plan, terms, quality etc on this ground. And the situation will probably not change until this member is able to work on the same level with the team members.

And the question is - what would you do here; what’s the best variant to resolve such situation, if you face it?
