KommandCore Updates: Leverage to Colorful Activity

So, 2 months of broadcast silence didn’t go past, and our coolly team has been keeping on zealously toiling and working to make the KommandCore web-service more usable and more handsome. Well, what new mess could we do during that time? Let’s see this together.

The first thing which appeared is the ability to import contacts into KommandCore, supported formats are VCard (*.vcf) and CSV(*.csv). Now, if needed, you’ll be able to easily bring your address book into your favorite workspace and keep on interacting with more contacts directly from the KommandCore web-service! The import widget is available in the context menu.
Besides the contact import, it’s worth to say that there is the contact export in KommandCore – to VCard, CSV and TXT formats.

Another great change related to the web-app concerns our extremely clever tool («more clever - good weather», as we say in our move) – Smart folders.  While using KommandCore for our own work and business, we revised a bit our point of view (which develops with yours, of course) and decided to grade up this tool by enriching it with the extended number of filters and by adding one more very important information-managing function – filtering all the project information by expanding conditions. As a result now, we got the more powerful management by smart folders.

The third global change: we have the window stack system. What does it mean? While working with a lot of inlayed windows and screens, you found yourself in the main screen when you close your current window – but it became history. Now – in case you close your current window, you go to the previous window you opened before, if you close that one – you go to the one which you had opened earlier and so on. It’s comfortable, isn’t it? And damn why we didn’t do it like this in the early beginning?;)

The fourth significant change is the preview of the attached files and objects. As you remember, it’s possible to attach anything you like to tasks and messages in KommandCore, so now – except attaching – you can anytime preview them. Saying differently, you get the message with an attached task, and directly from the message preview form you open this task and instantly understand what it’s going about.

Two following improvements derive to the article of Vadim Salnikov «Navigation. For Anyone» and concern the «All projects» screen.

The fifth improvement is dedicated to the play of colors and brilliant spring, no, I’m kidding, they touch the color indication of projects and, as one of the main functions – ability to make stress and position specific projects in the list on the «All projects» screen. What does it mean? In the right little column with all your listed projects you can confer on a particular project its own particular color, and place them in the list in any order.

Changing the modes of information grouping represents the sixth amelioration. Now you can view information by projects, as well as by objects (as easy as rime). If you are still not surprised, give me one more chance: KommandCore has added the feature of expanding and reducing the list of objects. Apropos, when you change the order of projects, it’s natural that this order at the same time instantly changes in the «Project overview» screen, too.

The seventh wonder of the world (I mean KommandCore, as far as this is really our world) is hidden under one more extremely comfortable widget which is intended to make pleasure from the quick move from one project to another – this is the list of projects which is visually similar to the previously-described one from the «All projects» screen.

Our eighth change – several color themes for your KommandCore interface. Tempt fate and enter the «Settings» screen, which, apropos, will probably surprise you as well. Click the necessary section and try one of the color themes you see there. Here they are – our dishes:

And the last – ninth – change: it’s too banal to avoid that you are overcome with emotion – we have been struggling with a lot of tiny and dreary bugs in interface as well as the web-service conduct – well, who is without sin:)?

Here is to follow that our heroic team wishes you all the luck in the world of business and out of business, of course, and bids farewell in the frames of this article. We are looking forward to your response and feedback about the described changes and the KommandCore web-service in general.
